These are the planned lectures and workshops for Fall 2019 semester of ANIM 40049. Note that some are not yet confirmed, so this listing is subject to change.

Unless otherwise stated, lectures take place on Wednesdays at 2 PM in J102,  and Workshops at 4 PM in A361 (the 4th Year Studio).

Week 2 - Sept. 11

2 PM Lecture: - Advanced Storyboarding - Blayne Burnside, Associate Director & Story Artist
Essential Academic Considerations for 4th Year- Bruno Degazio

4 PM Workshop:   - Story Workshop with Blayne Burnside. Bring your story idea, treatment, script, boards,  etc for feedback from an experienced story designer!

Week 3 - Sept. 18

2 PM Lecture: Advanced Design for Animation, Darin Bristow, Pipeline Studio
4 PM Workshop: Design Review. Bring your work-in-progress designs for your film for feedback from animation designer Darin Bristow.

Week 4 - Sept. 25

2 PM Lecture:
(2 PM):  Colour Design for Animation  - Tim McCormack, Sheridan College
(3 PM): Colette Barras - Counsellor, Wellness and Counselling, Sheridan Student Services
                   
4 PM Workshop: Colour Design - get feedback from a pro on your colour design:  Jordan England, Art Director,

Jordan has been working in the animation industry on a variety of projects since 2004. In the past 14 years the shows have ranged from Max& Ruby all the way to adult cartoons such as The Dating Guy and everything in between. Outside the studio Jordan has always possessed a passion for fine arts. As an avid oil painter, his work has been selected for various art shows, as well as a Solo Portrait Show in 2013. Jordan received his diplomas from Sheridan College in Classical Animation and Seneca College in Computer Animation.

4 PM Workshop: Layout. Bring your layouts to this workshop for feedback and advice from Terry Lenko (Nelvana layout supervisor)

Milestone 6 Due -

Week 12 - Nov. 27

2 PM Lecture: Acting for Animation - Dave Quesnelle, Sheridan, Animator; Industry Day Primer, Tony Tarantini;
